DJ Yade represents groove, house, latin-house and electro-sounds.
Her fascination for these sounds began after her first night out in Amsterdam. She instantly fell in love with the sound, the atmosphere and the vibe.
I found it so fascinating to see how those DJ’s got the crowd going
completely crazy and out of their minds on their pumpin’ beats!
Her career kick-started when a friend introduced her to DJ-ing in 2006. Before she knew it she had several performances at clubs and festivals nationally and internationally.
Club Jimmy Woo (Amsterdam), Bevrijdingsfestival (Zwolle), Fusion Of Dance (Zwolle), Club Cartouch (Curaçao) and Club Tantra (Sint Maarten) are some of the many places DJ Yade has performed so far.
Also she won a DJ-contest, which made her even more loved by the bigger crowds.
Besides DJ-ing, DJ Yade is an avid dance teacher at several gyms. For these classes she mixes her own dance cd’s to make her classes vibrant and cool.
Music and dancing became my PASSION and I love combining them…
To portrait DJ Yade in my studio, I used an Elinchrom Deep Octa with inner diffuser and grid from the left front/side, stripe + grid from the back-right, single light with gel and grid via gobo on the background, from below. I used a single light with grid on the headphones and hair from the top, back.
Postprocessing: simple selective curves in Lab and some minor extending of light rays.
