Ashraf: Shaping The Light

In this third shoot with Ashraf I wanted to shape the light with… black paper board around my studio lights. 😉 Using black paper permitted me to flag and redirect the light exactly the way I wanted it. My goal was to create more depth in Ashraf’s skin.

Ashraf is a beautiful Persian model, her dark looks made it easy for me to raise the overall contrast in the studio images and to lower the outside contrast, without losing eye detail.

Outside I used a Lastolite Ezybox, the large model, with a SpeedLite 580EXII triggered by PocketWizard FlexTT5 via a PocketWizard MiniTT1. In the studio I used an Elinchrom Deep Octa, with inner diffusor.
